WHO IS DRIFTING — A MONTHLY CHECK From synodo.app/guides/notice-who-is-drifting Group: ______________________ Leader: ______________ Date: ________ WORTH NOTICING (one line per person, not a score) Name ____________ Missed the last ___ meetings. Was this usual for them? Y / N Name ____________ Stopped answering things addressed to them (poll, sign-up, question) Name ____________ Has not opened the group since it last said anything Name ____________ Invited on ___ / ___ and still has not accepted NOT WORTH NOTICING - How often they open an app. A monthly group opens nothing in between. - How much they post. Quiet people are quiet. - What they actually wrote to each other. Never read this to decide who is struggling. THE QUESTION THAT SORTS THE LIST Is this a change for them? A person who has been in and out all year is not drifting. A person who had not missed once since January is, and that is today's phone call. HOW LONG IS TOO LONG TO BE QUIET Weekly group .......... about three weeks Every other week ...... about a month Monthly group ......... about two months (Roughly two of the group's own cycles. A fixed number of days for every group will call a monthly group quiet every single month.) WHO HAS ACTUALLY BEEN REACHED Name ____________ Reached by ____________ on ___ / ___ How it went ____________ Name ____________ Reached by ____________ on ___ / ___ How it went ____________ Name ____________ Reached by ____________ on ___ / ___ How it went ____________ Three flagged and nobody in touch is a more serious sign than any one absence. It usually means the leader needs help, not the member. WHAT TO SAY (short, warm, no guilt) "We missed you the last couple of weeks. Hope all is well — anything we can pray about?" "Thinking of you this week. No pressure, but there is a seat for you Tuesday." "We talked about chapter 4 last night and I thought of you. Want the notes?" WHO SHOULD SEE THIS SHEET The group's leaders, and whoever oversees groups for the church. Nobody else. Throw it away when the follow-ups are done — it is a prompt, not a record.
