Who it’s for › Discipleship and mentoring
Software for discipleship and mentoring at church
The short answer: Synodo runs a church’s discipleship program from sign-up to the last meeting: nominations and applications, matching people with mentors, one-to-one growth partners, a leaders-only guide for every meeting, and a clear view of who is meeting and who has gone quiet.
How do you start a discipleship program at church?
Start small, with a clear path in. Ask leaders to nominate people, approve who takes part, invite mentors to apply, then match people into mentoring groups and set the schedule. Synodo walks through each of those steps for a round of intake, and a church that simply forms its groups can skip them entirely.
How should churches match mentors and mentees?
By relationship first and availability second. Approved mentors get a call list where they claim the people they already know and log how each conversation went. Co-mentors are paired, people are matched into groups, and the group’s availability is polled before the meeting schedule is generated.
How do pairs work inside a group?
Growth partners pair people one-to-one for each unit, round-robin, so everyone meets with someone different. Each pair settles its own date, time and place, and the leader sees who has confirmed without having to ask.
What should each mentoring meeting cover?
Whatever the study sets, with the mentor prepared. Every meeting has a Member Guide and a leaders-only Leader Guide with the preparation, the run of the meeting and the questions; co-mentors can each take a section, and it prints for the table.
How do you know if people are actually meeting?
Attendance, homework and message activity roll into one view. Anyone who misses two meetings, completes little or goes quiet appears in “To check on” with the reason, and can be called, texted or emailed from the same line.
Can we run mentoring and small groups in the same tool?
Yes, on one plan. Mentoring groups, life groups and short courses sit side by side at $49 a month per church, with no limit on groups, pairs or people.
